Die Brasiliaanse peperboom (Schinus terebinthifolia) is 'n boom wat genaturaliseer geraak het in Suid-Afrika vanaf Suid-Amerika en dreig om 'n indringerplant te word. Die boom groei maklik, word aangeplant en kom voor in KwaZulu-Natal en verder noordwaarts. Voëls versprei die saad van hierdie spesie.
Natuurlike voorkoms Die spesie kom natuurlik voor in Argentinië, Brasilië en Paraguay.
Subspesies Die plant het twee subspesies: Schinus terebinthifolia var. acutifolia Engl. Schinus terebinthifolia var. terebinthifolia
