Das 42. Sundance Film Festival fand vom 22. Januar bis zum 1. Februar 2026 in den Städten Park City und Salt Lake City im US-Bundesstaat Utah statt. Es gilt als wichtigstes US-amerikanisches Festival für den Independent-Film und stand zum dritten Mal unter der Leitung von Eugene Hernandez.
Eine erste Auswahl wurde am 10. Dezember 2025 bekanntgegeben. Diese Ausgabe war die letzte in Utah vor der Übersiedlung nach Boulder, Colorado im Jahr 2027.

Special Screenings Zum Gedenken an die letzte Festivalausgabe in Park City umfasste diese Ausgabe neben mehreren Sondervorführungen von Filmklassikern, die in den vergangenen Jahren auf dem Festival gezeigt wurden, auch den Film Schußfahrt aus dem Jahr 1969 als Hommage an den im September 2025 verstorbenen Gründer Robert Redford.
