Lauromacromia melanica is een libel uit de familie Lauromacromiidae, onderorde echte libellen (Anisoptera). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Ângelo Parise Pinto en Alcimar do Lago Carvalho in een publicatie uit 2010. & (2010) A new species of Lauromacromia (Odonata: Corduliidae) from Southeastern Brazil, with a cladistic analysis of the genus and comments on Neotropical dragonfly biogeography. De soort komt voor in Brazilië (Espírito Santo).
