Sebastian Vettel, van het Red Bull Racing team, veroverde voor deze race de poleposition, voor teamgenoot Mark Webber en Fernando Alonso, uitkomend voor Ferrari.
De race werd gewonnen door Jenson Button. Teamgenoot bij McLaren Lewis Hamilton werd tweede, voor Nico Rosberg, rijdend voor Mercedes.
