On September 20, 2026, nine Islamic schools in Canada received an email sent over a 24-hour period threatening to kill Muslims unless they were deported. The sender identified themselves as "Jehu, Citizen Vigilante" and came from an account called "exposingNWO @protonmail.com." In addition to dehumanizing language against the Muslim community, the email stated "millions on top of millions of people in the nation of Canada are ready to take up arms." The email mentions the 2026 Alberta independence referendum to say Muslims would be "deported or slaughtered" once "Alberta becomes its own nation". The email asserts Canada will be "Islam free" and says this will happen "regardless of the election results" before stating "you won't be warned again".
