The 2026–27 Scottish Women's Premier League, known as the ScottishPower Women's Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the 26th season of the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL), the top division of women's football in Scotland, and the fifth season under the responsibility of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). The season began on 16 August 2026 and the final fixtures for the top six are scheduled for 23 May 2027.

Heart of Midlothian are the defending champions, having won their first SWPL title on the final day of the 2025–26 season. Spartans were promoted after winning the 2025–26 SWPL 2 title, returning to the top division after one season away. They replaced Hamilton Academical, who were relegated the previous season.

Regular season Each club plays the other nine clubs twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 18 matches. The league then splits into a top six and bottom four. The top six play each other twice more, giving each club 28 matches in total, while the bottom four play each other twice more, giving each club 24 matches.

The final pre-split fixtures are scheduled for 21 February 2027. The bottom-four clubs are scheduled to complete their league fixtures on 16 May, with the top six finishing on 23 May.

League positions are determined by points. If clubs finish level on points, they are separated by their head-to-head record, using points, goal difference and then goals scored. If they remain level, the criteria are post-split goal difference, goals scored and wins, followed by total wins, overall goal difference and overall goals scored.

The tenth-placed club is relegated to the 2026–27 SWPL 2, while the ninth-placed club enters the SWPL promotion and relegation play-offs.
