The 2026–27 Serbian First League is the 22nd season of the Serbian First League since its establishment. The season began on 31 July 2026. This season was widely presented in the media as the strongest since the competition was established, largely due to the high number of former SuperLiga clubs and the quality of the infrastructure, with several stadiums meeting UEFA standards, including TSC Arena, Lagator, Dubočica, Voždovac Stadium and Kraljevica.
League format Each team will play every other team twice in a round-robin format. After the preliminary phase, the top six teams will advance to the Championship round, while the remaining ten teams will enter the Relegation round. The first two teams in the Championship round will be promoted to the Serbian SuperLiga, while the teams finishing 11th to 16th overall will be relegated to the Serbian League.
Teams
The league consists of 16 teams: eight teams from the previous season, four teams relegated from the 2025–26 Serbian SuperLiga and four teams promoted from the Serbian League. The promoted teams are Bor 1919, Metalac, Proleter 023 and Teleoptik.
