Dilshan Sajun Bandara (Sinhala: දිල්ශාන් සජුන් බණ්ඩාර; born 1990) is a Sri Lankan film director, director of photography, and creative director. His work has included music videos and commercial productions.
Early life and career Bandara was born in Sri Lanka in 1990 and began working in the audiovisual industry in 2014.
Career Throughout his career, he has collaborated with premier Sri Lankan vocalists and bands to produce narrative-driven music videos that have garnered tens of millions of views across digital platforms.
Music videos In 2022, Bandara collaborated as Director of Photography and Assistant Director on the viral breakthrough track "Naasuna" (නෑසුනා) by Smokio featuring Dinesh Gamage, which amassed over 31 million YouTube views, making it one of the most-watched music videos in Sri Lankan history. In the same period, he lensed "Aeheliya Mala" (2M views) and "Magen Dura" (1M views) for vocalist Dilki Uresha.
In 2024, Bandara directed and photographed "Sinahawa Muwagin" (සිනහව මුවගින්), a high-profile duet by vocalists Ruwan Hettiarachchi and Umara Sinhawansa. His music video portfolio also includes directing the visual adaptation of "Yasodarawatha" for Abhisheka Wimalaweera, and the viral high-energy track "NAGITAPAN" (නැගිටපන්) by Sahara Flash featuring Fanta Bro.
Bandara has also maintained an enduring collaboration with Ruwan Hettiarachchi, helming the multi-part acoustic guitar video series "Special Guitars Edition" (Volumes 1 and 2 featuring Prakash Ranasinghe), as well as the music video "Sayamkari" (සායම්කාරී) and "Ibe" (ඉබේ).
