The 1950 Nemzeti Bajnokság III season was the 7th edition of the Nemzeti Bajnokság III. The group winner was unable to secure promotion to NB II in the qualifying round. The National Sports Office, established to oversee physical education and sports, abolished the NB III division by a resolution dated January 3, 1951. With the exception of the teams that earned promotion to NB II through the qualifying tournament, all teams were eligible to compete in the county and Budapest championships to be established the following year. Teams relegated from NB II also competed in these leagues.
