Sweeny or sweeney is a pathological condition of horses leading to fore limb lameness.

It is caused by paralysis of the suprascapular branch of the radial nerve.Peter D. Rossdale and Susan M. Wreford, The horses health from A to Z, David and Charles, Newton Abbot London Vancouver, 1974, ISBN 0-7153-5797-2.

The nerve paralysis leads to atrophy of the muscles of the shoulder (supraspinatus and infraspinatus).
