The 2026 season is the Seattle Seahawks' 51st in the National Football League (NFL), their first under the ownership of the Khosla family, their 17th under the leadership of general manager John Schneider and their third under head coach Mike Macdonald. They entered the season as the defending Super Bowl champions and having previously achieved 14–3 regular season record. Brian Fluery was the team's fourth offensive coordinator in as many seasons, as their previous offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak, departed to become the Las Vegas Raiders head coach. The team's starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, injured his glute on the first drive (the 5th snap) of their season opener, temporarily sidelining him until their Week 3 game.
