Pachystroma is a monotypic plant genus in the family Euphorbiaceae first described as a genus in 1865.Müller Argoviensis, Johannes. 1865. Linnaea 34: 177-178 in LatinTropicos, Pachystroma Müll. Arg. It is the only genus of its tribe Pachystromateae. The only known species is Pachystroma longifolium,Govaerts, R., Frodin, D.G. & Radcliffe-Smith, A. (2000).
