The superyacht Plvs Vltra was launched by Amels Holland B.V. at their yard in Vlissingen. Her new-construction was supervised by Moran Yacht & Ship, which negotiated the build contract and managed the yacht's day-to-day construction at the Amels shipyard. She was designed by Tim Heywood, and the interior design was created by Winch Design. She is the first of an eight Amels 242 Limited Edition serie built between 2016 and 2024.
