Etymology The species name is said to be derived from Greek eremos (meaning lonely, solitary) and philus (meaning love).Park, K. T.; Bae, Y. S. & Kim, S. (2013). "Three new species of Thubana Walker, 1864 from Cambodia and Malaysian Borneo (Lepidoptera: Lecithoceridae)". SHILAP Revista de Lepidopterología. 41 (163): 311-316.
