This beetle is native to South and Central America and has been recorded from Mexico (Veracruz, Chiapas), Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua (Jinotega), Costa Rica (Guanacaste, Puntarenas), Panama, Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul) and Bolivia (Santa Cruz).
