Várong is a village in Tolna County, Hungary. A few Vikings from Russia were settled here.the Hungarian King Béla III (~1148-1196) summoned the above mentioned varangian warriors (Greek:varangoi) to his Hungarian court. He allowed them to settle in the countryside, where their name is preserved in the Hungarian place-name Várong (Tolna County).
