Catholicos Isaiah I (Եսայի Ա Եղիպատրուշեցի) was the Catholicos-Patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church between 775 and 788.

Isaiah (also known as Yisay) was from the village of Elapatrush (Eghipatrush) in the province of Nig (probably modern-day Aparan region). Chroniclers say that from his infancy he had always resided with the current Patriarch. During his pontificate the Armenians rose up against their Saracen overlords but were outnumbered in battle and were defeated.

At this time the Saracen governor was expelled from Shirak and a local Armenian warlord, Ashot rebuilt Ani (or Kamakh) and Isaiah moved there. After several more years of Saracen raids, Isaiah died.
