General elections were held in Honduras on 22 and 25 April 1877.Elections and Events 1875-1899 The Library, UC San Diego In the presidential elections on 22 April, the result was a victory for the Liberal candidate,Darío A Euraque (1996) Reinterpreting the Banana Republic: Region and State in Honduras, 1870–1992 University of North Carolina Press, p46 interim President Marco Aurelio Soto, who received 81% of the vote. Congressional elections were held on 25 April.
