The National Map, accessed March 18, 2011 tributary of the White River in Garfield and Rio Blanco counties in Colorado, United States. The name likely derives from the Shoshoni word /piasonittsi/ meaning “tall grass” (/pia-/ ‘big’ and /soni-/ ‘grass’).
