Ethynol (or hydroxyacetylene, ethynyl alcohol) is an alkyne–alcohol (ynol) with the formula or . It is the much-less-stable tautomer of ethenone.
At low temperature in a solid argon matrix it is possible to tautomerise ethenone to form ethynol.
