Casting Sport was part of all World Games until 2005 except in 1989. It was then dropped as the International World Games Association wants the International Casting Sport Federation to come up with new and improved event formats.

Spinning Distance Single Handed 1985 London1993 The Hague 1997 LahtiThere is very little known about this event. The World Games News from September 1997 have 12 sets of medals in casting in 1997, and only 11 are known. We can see that the remaining set of medals went to GER-CZE-FIN: On a Finnish note we can see that Kosonen won two bronze medals in 1997. On the other hand, the IWGA World Games website database does not include this event in 1997 (date: 29 August 2017).
