Aetheolaena is a genus of flowering plants in family Asteraceae. It includes 27 species native to high-elevation montane forest in the northern and central Andes,Pruski, J.F. The new genus Chaetacalia, retention of Aetheolaena, Culcitium, Haplosticha, and Iocenes, two new species of Senecio, and Lasiocephalus revisited again (Senecioneae: Senecioninae).
