The Rapid River is a U.S. Geological Survey. National Hydrography Dataset high-resolution flowline data. The National Map, accessed December 19, 2011 river on the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It rises in southeast Marquette County and flows into Little Bay de Noc on Lake Michigan near the community of Rapid River. It was previously referred to as the Noquet River after the eponymous tribe until the late 19th century.
