mini|Aaron Pixton (2013) Aaron Pixton (* 13. Januar 1986 in Binghamton (New York)) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker, der über enumerative algebraische Geometrie arbeitet.

Pixton gewann Goldmedaillen bei den Internationalen Mathematik-Olympiaden 2003 und 2004. Er studierte an der Princeton University (und ein Jahr an der University of Cambridge), wo er 2013 bei Rahul Pandharipande mit einer Arbeit The tautological ring of the moduli space of curves promoviert wurde. Ab 2013 war er Clay Research Fellow.Aaron Pixton beim Clay Institute Nach zwei Jahren an der Harvard University war er seit 2015 Assistenzprofessor am Massachusetts Institute of Technology und seit 2020 an der University of Michigan, wo er seit 2024 Associate Professor ist.Lebenslauf

Er arbeitet über Schnitttheorie auf Modulräumen sowie über den Doppelverzweigungszykel, Gromov-Witten-Theorie und kohomologische Feldtheorien.

Er ist FIDE-Meister im Schach und hatte dort als Jugendlicher verschiedene US-Nachwuchsmeisterschaften gewonnen.
