Insgesamt wurde die Passhöhe des Col du Lautaret im Rahmen der Tour de France 73-mal erreicht. Die Liste beinhaltet nicht die geplanten Streckenführungen von 2015, auf der der Pass passiert hätte werden sollen.
Aufgrund der beiden Weltkriege fand die Tour de France in den Jahren von 1915 bis 1918 sowie 1940 bis 1946 nicht statt.
Die nachfolgende Liste weist auf die Funktion des Passes in der Streckenführung hin. Der Col du Lautaret wurde nämlich sowohl als Auffahrtsabschnitt des höheren Col du Galibier genutzt sowie für dessen Abfahrt. Zudem fanden mit 1959 und 1980 zwei Etappenstarts auf dem Pass statt. Die Auffahrt verläuft entweder aus Richtung Westen (Grenoble bzw. Le Bourg-d’Oisans) oder Osten (Briançon). Bergwertungen wurden auf dem Col du Lautaret erst 12-mal abgenommen.
