Die mit Abstand größte Agglomeration in Burkina Faso ist Ouagadougou mit einer Einwohnerzahl von 2.453.496 (Volkszählung 2019). Damit konzentriert sich zwölf Prozent der Bevölkerung des Landes in der Hauptstadtregion.
