J. Barkovich: Pediatric Neuroimaging. 2. Auflage. Die Abkürzung „LMM“ wurde im Jahre 1971 von H. M. Rogers'und Mitarbeitern verwendet.H. M. Rogers, D. M. Long, S. N. Chou, L. A. French: Lipomas of the spinal cord and cauda equina. In: Journal of neurosurgery, März 1971, Band 34, Nr. 3, S. 349–354; doi:10.3171/jns.1971.34.3.0349, PMID 4926270.
Die Bezeichnung „Lipomeningomyelozele“ stammt auch dem Jahre 1997 von A. Pierre-Kahn und Mitarbeitern.A. Pierre-Kahn, M. Zerah, D. Renier, G. Cinalli, C. Sainte-Rose, A. Lellouch-Tubiana, F. Brunelle, M. Le Merrer, Y. Giudicelli, J. Pichon, B. Kleinknecht, F. Nataf: Congenital lumbosacral lipomas. In: Child's nervous system (ChNS) official journal of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, Juni 1997, Band 13, Nr. 6, S. 298–334; PMID 9272285 (Review).
H. Chapman: Congenital intraspinal lipomas: anatomic considerations and surgical treatment. In: Child's brain, 1982, Band 9, Nr. 1, S. 37–47, PMID 7060411W. Oakes: Management of spinal cord lipomas and lipomyelomeningoceles In: R. H. Wilkins, S. S. Rengachary (Hrsg.): Neurosurgery Update II. Band 3. McGraw-Hill, New York 1991, S. 3497–3504.
Hofmann, K. H. Deeg, P. F.
