Rudolf Schabus (* 11. September 1954 in Hermagor; † 23. September 2024 in Wien) war ein österreichischer Sporttraumatologe und Unfallmediziner. Er war Teamarzt des österreichischen Tennisverbands und Betreuer des österreichischen Davis-Cup-Teams.
Werdegang Nach Medizinstudium und Promotion an der Universität Wien absolvierte Rudolf Schabus von 1979 bis 1985 seine Facharztausbildung für Unfallchirurgie an der Universitätsklinik Wien. 1988 habilitierte er sich mit dem Thema „Die Bedeutung der Rekonstruktion des vorderen Kreuzbandes“. Nach mehrjähriger Tätigkeit an der Universitätsklinik Wien wurde Schabus 1996 zum Universitätsprofessor für Unfallchirurgie ernannt. Im selben Jahr eröffnete er seine Arztpraxis für Sporttraumatologie und Unfallchirurgie an der Wiener Privatklinik.
Wissenschaftliche Leistungen Schabus publizierte Fachartikel zu den Themen arthroskopische Gelenkchirurgie, Sehnenverletzungen und Rehabilitation.
Ämter und Mitgliedschaften Er war Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Beirats der Wiener Privatklinik.
