L. Fauchère, C. Petermann: Synthesis of gamma-methyl-L-leucine (neopentylglycine, Neo) and derivatives suitable for peptide synthesis. In: International journal of peptide and protein research. Band 18, Nummer 3, September 1981, S. 249–255, PMID 7341518.

Krix, A.S. Bommarius, K. Drauz, M. Kottenhahn, M. Schwarm, M.-R. Kula: Enzymatic reduction of α-keto acids leading to l-amino acids, d- or l-hydroxy acids. In: Journal of Biotechnology. 53, 1997, S. 29, .
