Farrodes bimaculatus is een haft uit de familie Leptophlebiidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1971 door Peters & Alayo., "A Revision of the Leptophlebiidae of the West Indies (Ephemeroptera)." Smithsonian Contributions to Zoology 62 (1971), blz. 8. De soort is endemisch in Cuba.
