Plecturocebus leucometopus is een zoogdier uit de familie van de sakiachtigen (Pitheciidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Cabrera in 1900. De soort stond voorheen bekend als Plecturocebus discolor (I. Geoffroy & Deville, 1848)Groves, C.P. (2005). "Order Primates". In Wilson, D.E.; Reeder, D.M (eds.) Voorkomen De soort komt voor in Colombia, Ecuador en Peru.
