Gynanisa commixta is een vlinder uit de familie nachtpauwogen (Saturniidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2008 door Philippe Darge., 2008: Considérations sur le genre Gynanisa Walker, 1855, avec description d'espèces nouvelles (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae, Saturniinae, Bunaeini).
