Archaeoattacus staudingeri is een vlinder uit de onderfamilie Saturniinae van de familie nachtpauwogen (Saturniidae).
De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is, als Attacus staudingeri, voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Lionel Walter Rothschild in 1895. [updated 2009]: Online list of valid and available names of the Saturniidae of the World, bezocht 9 februari 2012. Gearchiveerd op 26 februari 2020.
