Aptopus is een geslacht van kevers uit de familie kniptorren (Elateridae).Elateridae in Synopsis of the described Coleoptera of the World 6 juni 2010. Gearchiveerd op 3 december 2014. Het geslacht is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven in 1829 door Eschscholtz.
