Het Mongoolse schrift, ook wel Hudum genoemd, is het originele alfabet dat werd gebruikt voor het schrijven van de Mongoolse taal.
Beschrijving Het Mongoolse schrift is een afgeleide van het Oud-Oeigoerse schrift dat in opdracht van Dzjengis Khan voor het Mongools werd aangepast. De letters hebben allemaal drie vormen: een begin-, midden- en eindvorm. De beginvorm is de eerste letter van een woord, vervolgens zijn alle volgende letters middenvormen en ten slotte is de laatste letter een eindvorm. Het schrift wordt verticaal geschreven (van boven naar beneden), en van links naar rechts.
Tegenwoordig wordt in Mongolië alleen een aangepast Cyrillisch alfabet gebruikt, maar op de Mongoolse bankbiljetten staan wel zinnen in dit schrifttype. In China, met name in Binnen-Mongolië wordt wel nog het Mongools alfabet gehanteerd. Het alfabet wordt ook gebruikt om Xibe en eventueel om Evenks te schrijven. De overheid van Mongolië heeft in 2020 besloten dat het cyrillische alfabet in 2025 weer plaats gemaakt moet hebben voor het Mongoolse schrift.
