Het AFC Vrouwenkampioenschap 2006 werd van 16 tot en met 30 juli 2006 in Vietnam (eerste fase) en Australië (tweede fase) gespeeld. De vijftiende editie van dit voetbaltoernooi werd gewonnen door China door in finale gastland Australië, na strafschoppen, verslaan. De eerste vier landen van dit kampioenschap plaatsten zich voor het Wereldkampioenschap voetbal vrouwen 2007.
Kwalificatie Alle wedstrijden werden gespeeld in het Mỹ Đìnhstadion, Hanoi, Vietnam. De nummers 1 en 2 van elke groep plaatste zich voor de play-offs.
