Alleghany County is een county in de Amerikaanse staat North Carolina.
De county heeft een landoppervlakte van 608 km² en telt 10.677 inwoners (volkstelling 2000). De hoofdplaats is Sparta.
In de county ligt een deel van Stone Mountain State Park met op de countygrens de berg Stone Mountain.
