Epidermophyton is een geslacht van schimmels behorend tot de familie Arthrodermataceae. De typesoort is Epidermophyton inguinale. De soort Epidermophyton floccosum die schimmelinfectie kan veroorzaken. De schimmel verspreidt zich door macroconidia en chlamydosporen.
