Chalcochrous is een geslacht van kevers uit de familie van de loopkevers (Carabidae).Anichtchenko A. et al., (editors): Carabidae of the World (bezocht: 20 tot 28 maart 2013) De wetenschappelijke naam van het geslacht is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1838 door Chaudoir.
